U.S. FORECLOSURE ACTIVITY INCREASES 7 PERCENT IN JULY

The five-county Philadelphia metropolitan area reported 1,147 foreclosure filings in February, a 4 percent decrease from the previous month, according to RealtyTrac.

Foreclosure filings were reported on 360,149 U.S. properties during the month, an increase of nearly 7 percent from the previous month and an increase of 32 percent from July 2008.

FORECLOSURE ACTIVITY DECREASES 4 PERCENT IN FEBRUARY

Foreclosure filings were reported on 223,651 properties nationwide in February, a 4 percent decrease from the previous month but still a nearly 60 percent increase from February 2007.
